IT and security teams have to keep a lot of plates spinning simultaneously. Working with a managed detection and response (MDR) provider is an effective way to deal with the shifting ecosystem of technology and rapidly expanding attack surface. Organizations need an MDR platform that makes it as simple as possible to get data into and out of the system—and the flexibility to build tools that extend the MDR platform.

Today, Alert Logic launched DevNet to help customers and partners extend, build, and integrate their MDR efforts at scale. Matt Sayler, Principal Product Manager for Alert Logic, talks about the DevNet software developer portal in this video:

DevNet is a new software developer portal that provides tooling and step-by-step guidance for organizations to build and embed their own automation and integrations. The portal includes a comprehensive toolkit of command-line tools and programming language integrations, as well as a robust library of use cases.

With the ability to interact with and extend the MDR platform, you can leverage Alert Logic vulnerability scanning and configuration auditing. DevNet enables you to extract that data into other systems so you can work with it and do what you need to do manage the information in the tools or platforms that you’re familiar with. You can also access data related to the health of your IT and cybersecurity infrastructure or use scripting tools to execute commands to automate routine processes.
